We're excited and proud to announce that MML Hospitality is continuing the legacy of Word of Mouth Catering, an Austin-born hospitality company founded in 1985 and developed by Leslie Moore. Word of Mouth has set the standard in catering for over 30 years, and we are proud to continue that tradition in a new and dynamic way.

This summer, Word of Mouth will transition and rebrand to Word of Mouth Fine Catering with an official re-launch in Fall 2023.

Word of Mouth Fine Catering will continue to service corporate events, in-store events, social gatherings, galas and weddings, and in-home chef dinners. The style of service options will cater exactly to your needs—including, but not limited to, passed hors d’oeuvres, cocktail receptions, family-style, plated experiences, buffet, drop-off, custom cakes, full bar and craft cocktails, the option of MML family of restaurants inspired menus, and beyond.

A: I was the Director of Group Sales at SLS Baha Mar in Nassau, Bahamas

A: Start with a crossfit workout, head to Baldwin & Company (one of my favorite coffee shops), connect with a friend and walk along Bayou St. John, then go head to dinner at one of my favorite NOLA restaurants, Saffron.

Q: One thing you always have in your fridge?
A: Almond Milk

Q: Favorite thing about Hotel Saint Vincent?
A: The way it feels like an oasis. It feels a part of but at the same time separate from the surrounding area and the city as a whole.

Q: What’s your favorite thing about New Orleans?
A: It’s a big enough city to where there are “big city” things to do, but it isn’t so big that you feel overwhelmed.

A: Our first hotel buyout. It was a wedding, and they truly transformed the property. They made great use of every space.

A: The Munch Factory

Q: If you really wanna experience New Orleans, go here and why?
A: Explore the Marigny/Bywater neighborhoods. They are very walkable areas, with great architecture, restaurants, bars, some nightlife, and they aren’t typically packed with tourists.

A: The Fall, October specifically.

We're excited to host Austin’s favorite radio station, KUTX 98.9 at Lou’s Barton Springs for My KUTX, a live series featuring conversations with emerging local musicians on the music that has influenced their careers. We’re excited to announce that Clark's Houston is opening late summer 2023.

Located at the corner of Montrose & West Alabama in a former gas station/auto repair shop (just like our Austin location), the third location of Clark’s will serve up all the favorites—caviar, shrimp cocktail, lobster rolls, Cioppino, grilled Gulf fish, juicy Gruyere-topped burgers, shoestring fries, and all the bubbles and martinis. And this Clark’s has a huge patio, private dining room, and long oyster bar.

We're kicking off summer at Rosie’s with the deb

We're kicking off summer at Rosie’s with the debut of Paella on the Patio.

Every Tuesday starting 5/30, we're cooking Seafood Paella (with bomba rice, mussels, clams, shrimp, chicken & pork sausage) in a big paella pan out on the patio and serving it with a Baby Lettuce Salad and Pan con Tomate for $32 per person. We’ll be offering Rosie's daily menu, as well as special wines for the evening.

The party starts at 8PM and goes until we run out, so come by next Tuesday, grab your favorite bottle of wine, and hang with us at Rosie’s.

MML is excited to host an exclusive knife pop-up w

MML is excited to host an exclusive knife pop-up with our friends from Chubo Japanese Knives on Thursday May 25, from noon to 7 p.m. at 606 Blanco Street (in the house behind Clark’s and across the street from Rosie’s Wine Bar, in the former Outdoor Voices space).

“Chubo” (the Japanese word for ‘restaurant kitchen’), showcases carefully selected Japanese-style knives and cutlery from boutique Japanese makers.

Chubo was founded by Jeremy Watson, a hospitality veteran, who worked in Japan for several years, gaining a respect for the incredible food culture and craftsmanship there. Jeremy now brings the best Japanese cutlery stateside for both professional chefs and culinary enthusiasts.

Jeremy will bring a wide selection of knife styles (Gyutou to Santoku to Petty) from a wide range of makers including Akira-saku, Chubo, Kazan, Sakai Takayuki, plus more. No appointment necessary—just drop by. Cash, credit card, and Apple Pay accepted. Note: please enter 606 Blanco through the side door near the lawn in front of Pecan Square Café.

On Wednesday, May 31, we are excited to welcome friend and baker extraordinaire Abby Love of Abby Jane Bakeshop to Pecan Square Café for a special menu takeover.

Abby Jane Bakeshop, located inside Barton Springs Mill in Dripping Springs, uses heritage grains grown in Texas to make breads, pizzas, pastries, and more. And during dinner service, from 5pm to 10 pm, we’ll feature three of Abby’s pizzas, starter, and dessert (with ingredients from the farmers’ market) in addition to PSC’s daily dinner menu.

Abby and our Executive Chef, Chelsea Fadda, worked together at Dai Due in Austin. And since May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a portion of sales from Abby’s special dishes will be donated to NAMI: Central Texas, dedicated to improving the lives of all individuals affected by mental illness through education, support and advocacy programs.

Rosie's is excited to welcome winemaker Mikey Giugni of Scar of the Sea, based in San Luis Obispo, California, this Wednesday, May 10, from 5pm-7pm, for a by-the-glass takeover!

Mikey and his wife, Gina—also a winemaker for Lady of the Sunshine—work with farmers who are instrumental in farming for the future and making wines with as little intervention as possible.

Q: Where are you from?
A: San Francisco Bay Area

Q: How long have you worked for MML Hospitality? And at what locations?
A: I started as a sous chef at Jeffrey’s in 2018, then executive chef at Swedish Hill before opening Pecan Square and Howards and Rosie’s.

Q: Before joining MML, where did you work?
A: I split my time as a butcher at both Le Politique and Wheatsville meat department; before that I spent time at Dai Due and Bufalina.

Q: What is the first food you remember loving?
A: Canned smoked oysters

Q: Desert island meal?
A: Probably still canned smoked oysters

Q: One kitchen tool/gadget that every home kitchen needs?
A: Small immersion blender

Q: What’s the one kitchen tip you have for home cooks?
A: Everything's better with a splash of vinegar or squeeze of lemon to finish.

A: Santa Maria grilled tri-tip is a fan fave.

Just when you thought the music festival scene couldn’t get any more dynamic in Austin, along comes Antone’s Blues Festival at Waterloo Park.

On Saturday, April 29, our friends at Antone's and Waterloo Greenway are presenting the inaugural Blues Festival at Moody Amphitheater at Waterloo Park!

A little bit of backstory: In 1999, Clifford Antone hosted the first-ever Antone’s Blues Festival at Waterloo Park as a way to showcase some of his favorite artists who were too large to play at his namesake downtown venue—the festival hosted the likes of Buddy Guy, John Lee Hooker, and Ray Charles during its three-year run.

Now, more than two decades later, Antone’s and Waterloo Greenway are joining forces to bring blues back to Waterloo Park with an incredible lineup including BLKS ODYSSY, Adrian Quesada’s Jaguar Sound, Booker T’s Stax Revue (with guest Jimmie Vaughan), Los Lobos, plus many more.

And what would a blues festival be without some good barbecue? Lamberts, MML’s first restaurant, will be there serving up some favorites including Chopped Beef Frito Pie and Pulled Pork Tacos.

MML Hospitality is excited to announce the newest

MML Hospitality is excited to announce the newest version of Bad Boy Cider, our collaboration with our friends at @shacksbury.

Bad Boy, which we made in memory of our friend and colleague, Steven Allen Ridge, is a full bodied, kinda dry cider with baked apple, melon, and strawberry notes. It pairs well with just about any food which is why, beginning on Monday, April 24, it will be available at all MML restaurants.

And to kick off the new release, we’ll be previewing it at this week’s Pecan on the Lawn over at Pecan Square Café from 4-7 p.m. Come on out, grab some grass, order a pizza, and sample some complimentary Bad Boy Cider.
